October continues and so does the localized versions of the popular German festival, Oktoberfest, at various pubs in the city. So, here’s where you can enjoy great deals on beer and some scrumptious new additions to their food menu.
Gateway Taproom, BKC
There are a lot of amazing things happening at the Gateway Taproom for the month of October. To begin with, their very own Gateway Brewing Co. has introduced White Zen (German hefeweizen) and Doppelganger (German dunkelweizen) for craft beer lovers. Then there is a Vienna style lager amongst other beers, and not to forget a “Chugging Chair” for anyone who is in the mood for a challenge. They have also put together a special food menu that includes an excellent mix of salads, dishes like Eisbein for the mains and apple strudel to end the meal. The ambience is also decked up to make you feel like you are in Bavaria. It can’t get any more German than this!

Enjoy delicious cocktails such as Beer Mojito and Beer Sangria amongst others for as low as Rs. 250. You can’t get any more desi than the ‘Octobaar Fest’ at The Thekka, which includes both homegrown as well as international beers. You can pick between Twin Beer, High Five or Big Tower offers. So say, if you pick Budweiser you can enjoy two pints for Rs. 279 and five for Rs. 629; there are also 2 litre towers of Kingfisher, Foster’s, Carlsberg and Tuborg starting from Rs. 1399 to Rs. 1599. And that’s not all, there’s a one on one deal on the towers! To top it all of, there is an interesting mix of imported beers on the menu as well!
