It’s 2018 already, can you believe it? It was only yesterday that we had to deal with the demise of the world in 2017. But no worries, things are looking up this new year and with that we think some resolutions are in order, especially of the liquor kind.
Stay hydrated: This may not seem very drink-centric but in fact, it is the most important. Not only is drinking loads and loads of water going to keep you healthy and help in having glowing skin, it helps you reduce hangovers drastically. Let’s keep the headaches and nausea to a minimum and keep water handy!
Try a new cocktail every month: Leave your boring old self behind in 2017 and start experimenting this year. Try adventurous cocktails at least once a month to expand your repertoire of alcohol and who knows, you might discover a new staple.
Stir up a storm: There’s no greater joy than making something new from scratch and your drinks shouldn’t be any different. Don’t serve your guests the usual Old Monk-Thums Up combo and put in some effort! Try making something simple like a Daiquiri or Pina Colada and we promise, you’ll be signing up to a bartending class soon enough.
Go on one drunkcation: No, we don’t mean visiting a place just to sit in closed quarters and drink your usual fare. Head to a vineyard and/or winery or a place that has something truly unique and special to offer. There’s no way that can’t be memorable. Check out our drunkcation list to help plan your trip.
Try new bars: Yes, your neighbourhood bar that’s been your haunt since the beginning of time is trustworthy but it’s time to leave the nest, and venture out. Although experimenting with new places might give you more misses than hits, the ones you’ll like will definitely be worth it. Don’t forget to let us know about your pub-hopping journey.
Oh, and don’t forget to have loads of fun!
