While most of us associate Devdas with a depressed SRK venting through some cringe-worthy lines with regard to his lady love, he also showed us how to befriend our alcohol in the ‘Chalak Chalak’ song. Apart from how to make that bottle your best friend, he showed us, more importantly, how to truly have fun with liquor.

SRK has been quite the dreamer in a lot of his films, especially Om Shanti Om.”Itni shiddat se tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai” has achieved cult status when it comes to his many quotable dialogues. Everybody shares a special bond with their father. SRK evidently shares a very chilled out relationship with his dad (played by Anupam Kher) in DDLJ, and one particular scene featuring the two right at the start of the film showed us that it’s okay to share a drink or two with your dad once in a while. Alcohol can shed every barrier that there ever was between you and your pop, and SRK portrays it convincingly through this scene.
When he taught us how alcohol can benefit your style quotientÂ
Don saw SRK at his stylish best, and while there are numerous scenes in this film where liquor helped enhance his stylishly mean demeanor, the title track from the film truly hit epic levels of style as he drinks straight out of that champagne bottle. If done in the right way, alcohol can double, even triple, your style quotient.
When he taught us that alcohol and romance go hand in handÂ
No, I’m not talking about the ultra-dramatic hopeless romantic in Devdas. We’re talking about the comparatively more sorted romantic in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. There’s a shot in the very memorable ‘Suraj Hua Madham’ song where SRK raises a toast to well, SRK and Kajol in their romantic element. Irrespective of the context with which that played out in the song, it was a lovely moment for fans of the jodi and served as an ode to the epic romantic legacy they’ve created over the years.
