Trust us, your super chef moms would look like novices next to these extravagant menus. So elaborate and diverse, these dishes will make you cry tears of joy (vegetarians will just have to cry normal tears. Kallu Shappu is a holy shrine of all that’s good and non-veg). Oh, just a warning that you might have to shoot out goblets of fire from your burning ass the next morning.
Close To Nature And Alcohol At Once: Have you ever given your taste buds a chance to experience alcohol in its purest form? Nah, obviously not! In Kerala, and you will taste ‘Thengin Kallu’, which is fresh distilled liquor from coconut trees; which is absolutely phenomenal. Yes, it’s for real. Mallus strongly believe that this was the drink of gods, and we don’t disagree.
Subsidized Drinking Places: Kerala is close to Pondicherry, but know that they have their own Pondi called Mayyazhi, also known as Mahi (please note that it’s Mahi and not Mahim).
