Most Expensive Whiskeys In The World

Recently we saw the jaw-dropping news that two bottles whiskeys were sold for INR 14 crores and we couldn’t stop wondering how many more of these treasures exist. Little did we know that there’s an entire world of unbelievably expensive whiskeys out there that we will never get to see, touch or drink.

Glenfiddich 1937 – $71,700

With interesting notes of molasses, chocolate, cedar, burnt heather, and oak, Glenfiddich 1937 is one of the rarest single malt whiskeys ever. It was drawn from a cask made in 1937 and after that several generations of whiskeys have been aged in that same cask. However, Glenfiddich 1937 stands out. There are only 60 bottles of these left and they can only be spotted at auctions. People who have been daring enough to purchase it and actually drink it say it’s exquisite. With that price tag, it better be.

Springbank 1919 – $78,000

Probably the only vintage whiskey to ever appear on an online liquor store, Springbank 1919 was once available on the whiskey exchange portal. It was also listed as the most expensive whiskey in the world by Guinness book of records but it did change over time. This is arguably one of the most desirable whiskeys on the planet.

Dalmore 64 Trinitas – $160,000

These three stunning bottles of whiskeys aren’t from one cask, age or even century. Since there are so few whiskeys that actually originated a century ago. Dalmore 64 Trinitas is a blend of whiskies from 939, 1926, 1878, and 1868. Only one of the three bottles has appeared for sale so far, the whereabouts of the other two are a mystery.

The Macallan M – $628,205

Often considered the king of all vintage whiskeys, The Macallan M becomes spectacular because of its rarity and unique Spanish oak blend. This particular bottle that contains six litres of the coveted whiskey comes in a handcrafted crystal decanter designed by a group of 17 experts. The bottle has been missing from auctions for a while and enthusiasts predict that it will come back with a whopping price tag in the market.

Isabella’s Islay – $6,200,000

If you aren’t a pro with dollar to rupee conversion rates, I can guarantee you that this whiskey costs more than your house or even your building. Isabella’s Islay costs more than INR 41 crores and the value is associated with the magnificent decanter that comes with 8,500 diamonds, 300 rubies, and exquisite white gold. The whiskey is also arguably the best you can buy and this stunner takes home the title of being the most expensive whiskey in the world.
