5 Easy And Quick Cocktail Recipes Using Jack Daniel’s

Three things you should know about Jack Daniel’s. First, it’s from the oldest registered distillery in the United States. Secondly, unlike any other whisky out there, Jack Daniel’s doesn’t have dated individual batches. Master-tasters test each barrel and determine the quality. Thirdly, it’s hella good. Here are five easy, quick cocktails you can fix up with Jack Daniel’s so that you can impress everyone at your next house party. Or just enjoy it all by yourself, because, why not?

Lynchburg Lemonade

The most popular Jack Daniel’s based cocktail is ridiculously easy to make. Whisky is a little adamant when it comes to blending with chasers and mixers, but a bit of homemade lemonade magic will go a long way in this drink!

What you’ll need:

  • 45 ml Jack Daniel’s
  • 30 ml triple sec
  • 30 ml lemon juice
  • 120 ml lemon-lime soda

  1. Pour the whiskey, triple sec, and sour mix into a Collins glass filled with ice
  2. Top with soda
  3. Stir well and serve

Sweet Tea Smash

Sweet Tea Smash is a beautiful amalgamation of contradicting flavours, just like the name suggests. A southern American favourite, this drink is what our summer dreams are made of. Who can say no to the combination of sweet tea and some JD?

What you’ll need:

  • 2 lemon wedges
  • 4 mint leaves
  • 30 ml unsweetened iced tea
  • 30 ml Jack Daniel’s
  • 1 tsp Strega
  • 1 tsp Cane syrup

  1. In a shaker, muddle the lemon wedges and mint leaves
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and fill with ice
  3. Shake, and strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice
  4. Garnish with a sprig of mint

Gentleman’s Ginger

Ginger and Jack Daniel’s go with each other like carrot and peas (or from a more Indian context, dal and chawal) and this recipe is curated right from the house of JD. It’s so simple, yet so magnificent, you will love this one.

What you’ll need:

  • 1.5 parts Jack Daniel’s
  • 3 parts ginger beer/ale
  • Squeeze of lime

  1. In a shaker, add all ingredients
  2. Fill with ice and shake
  3. Garnish with lime wedge

The Green Destiny

This one is quite a surprise. You don’t really expect something as bold as Jack Daniel’s to complement fruits so well. This one is as tropical as JD gets.

What you’ll need:

  • 45 ml Jack Daniel’s
  • 15 ml Triple Sec
  • 30 ml orange juice
  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • Splash of Blue Curacao

  1. In a shaker, add all ingredients and stir well
  2. Pour over ice into a glass
  3. Garnish with lime wedge

Tennessee Mule

It looks like this is the age of mules. Moscow mule has been a universal favourite for a while for now. Looks like the Tennessee mule is here as stiff competition. It’s refreshing and soul soothing.

What you’ll need:

  • 45 ml Jack Daniel’s
  • 120 ml ginger beer
  • 2 lime wedges
  • Fresh mint leaves

  1. Muddle the lime wedges with 5-6 mint leaves then add to your glass filled with ice
  2. Add the whisky and then top with the ginger beer and stir
  3. Garnish with more lime wedges and fresh mint
