No one can underestimate the power of a kickass tequila shot. It hits you right where it should, provides the right kick, and of course, helps you get your groove on almost instantly. Here’s how to take a tequila shot like a pro.
Get the ingredients: 45 ml tequila (a good quality one preferably), a lime wedge and a pinch of salt. Lime and salt are like the BFFs of tequila, especially if you aren’t having a 100% agave tequila. It helps you get the right acidity.
Moisten the back your hand: People usually lick the part below your index finger, if you find that gross, get a few drops of water and do that.
Salt:Â Don’t over do the salt option. We know that this is the least expensive element of all. But don’t put too much of salt or you are not gonna be able to taste a thing. Pour only a small pinch of salt.
Drink the tequila: You are supposed to pick up the shot glass and do bottoms up. Get even the last drop of the tequila from the glass because it’s expensive shit right there. You will sense a burning sensation right away. Place the shot glass back.
Suck on the lime: This is the most fun bit. Your tongue will probably be numb from the tequila’s strength. This lime wedge awakens the taste-buds and that’s a kickass sensation. It balances the flavour of tequila like no other.
Repeat with more varieties: Dip the rim of shot glass in sugar, coloured sugar or cinnamon sugar to have some fun! You’re probably going to enjoy these much more than a boring, old regular shot.
