Reasons You Need To Drink In Scotland At Least Once In Your Life

Do you love traveling and can, in fact, afford it? Do you like alcohol? Then you should visit Scotland at least once before you die. Why, you ask? Here are five reasons.

The people: The Scots might come across as a little intimidating since they are so damned good looking and sporty, but they are lovely people. This is based on my theory that peoples’ drinking capacity and loveliness are directly proportionate.

It’s the land of scotch: Scotch got its name from the name Scotland, so that says quite a bit about the connection. The ones that are made in Scotland are the only ones that can be called scotch whiskey and my, what a drink they’ve given us.

It’s the nation of home drinkers: These aren’t my words. BBC World once called Scotland the nation of home drinkers. Since the whole nation drinks a lot, there’s a minimum pricing on every bottle of booze, but people buy them anyway. Drinking at home is an integral part of their culture. So cool, no?

They have a scotch whiskey association: Yep, just like we have cultural groups, they have an association with scotch whiskey and its iconic status. The group has challenged the government’s decision to increase alcohol prices for a really long time. We support you, SWA, we really do.
