3. La Bodeguita del Medio
While the original Mojito seems to have been invented by Native American tribes or the slaves that worked at the sugar plantations, the cocktail that we know today seems to have originated in Havana’s most famous bar La Bodeguita del Medio in Cuba.

Margarita originated in Mexico and has been claimed to have been invented by various bars in the country. The strongest claim has come from the World Famous Kentucky Bar & Grill in Juarez, Mexico, which was famously visited by Americans during the Prohibition era in the early 1920s.
Though many other bars have claimed to be the inventor of the popular cocktail, the credit can be given to World Famous Kentucky Bar & Grill until someone comes forward with hard proof that concludes otherwise.
