We’ve heard of mimosas with breakfast, but for the true beer fan, breakfast-themed beers are the real deal. Classic breakfast flavours are mixed into already delicious beer to give us some unique yet repeat-worthy concoctions.

If you can’t get your day started without some chai, this one’s your best bet. Yogi is a chai spiced amber with cloves, cardamom, ginger, black pepper and Saigon cinnamon to set it apart from any tea you’ve ever had.

KBS, Founders Brewing Co.

You haven’t had good coffee beer yet if you haven’t tried KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout). This stout is brewed with coffee and beer and aged in oak barrels to get whole, rich flavours that’ll have you daydreaming about it long after breakfast is over.

Cerealiously, Black Bottle Brewery

It’s not often that you come across a combination of cereal and beer but Black Bottle Brewery does it so well, that it’s hard to pass up. Within their Cerealiously line, they seasonally bring out different cereal-inspired beer flavours like Golden Grahams and Sugar Cookie Toast Crunch. The most recent was the Count Chocula brewed with the cereal of the same name with amazing chocolate-y flavours. Look out for more in the upcoming year.

Imperial Doughnut Break, Evil Twin Brewing

Bring the flavours of Imperial Biscotti Break (almonds, sugar and coffee) together with loads of doughnuts and you have the sensational Imperial Doughnut Break. Yes, you heard it right, they actually mix in whole doughnuts when making this beer. All my dreams are coming true.

Day Break, Martin House Brewing

This beer is inspired by cereal too but unlike Cerealiously, it just takes inspiration. With 4 grains – barley, wheat, oats, rye – we’ll bet this is the healthiest of the lot. And since it has a 5% ABV, you can safely go from breakfast to lunch with the beer and not falter. Another bonus, it’s got honey!
