Christmas Cocktails To Welcome The Holidays

Just 20 days to Christmas! While others are planning Secret Santa at work, I am thinking about the cocktails I can make at home. If you are anything like me, I have 5 recipes for Christmas-themed cocktails that’ll help you love your family reunions just a teeny bit more.

1. Brunch Punch

If you have decided to be a good person this year and are going to be hosting your friends and family for lunch, you need to make this festive Brunch Punch that will not only add to your festive decorations but also put some of your loved ones on Santa’s naughty list!

What you’ll need:

  • 2 litre Sprite
  • 2 cup orange juice
  • 2 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 cup vodka
  • 1 bottle prosecco
  • 2 cup sliced strawberries
  • 2 cup sliced raspberries
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • Crushed ice

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients, except for sugar, into a big bowl
  2. Stir well
  3. Rim the glasses with powdered sugar
  4. Pour the mix into the glasses and serve

2. Rumchata Eggnog

Eggnog transcribes the feeling of Christmas perfectly. And adding Rumchata to it only makes the day better. Watch all your bhule-bhatke friends knock at your door as soon as you post about your cocktail-making plans on Instagram.

What you’ll need:

  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup rumchata
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Instructions:

  1. Whisk egg yolks and sugar
  2. Add it to a saucepan
  3. Add milk, nutmeg powder, cinnamon powder, and vanilla to it
  4. Stir and cook for 10 minutes on medium-low heat (do not boil)
  5. Remove from heat
  6. Add rumchata and heavy cream to it and stir well
  7. Refrigerate until chilled
  8. Rim glasses with a mixture of cinnamon powder and sugar
  9. Pour the cocktail into glasses
  10. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and serve

3. Jack Frost

Jack Frost is a sweet tropical Christmas-themed cocktail that will warm your heart with its deliciousness. A perfect recipe for a merry-licious time! 

What you’ll need:

  • 8 cups ice 
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup blue curacao
  • 1/2 cup vodka 
  • 1/2 cup cream of coconut
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp flaked coconut 

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients, except for honey and flaked coconut, into a blender
  2. Blend until it reaches your desired consistency
  3. Rim glasses, first with honey and then flaked coconut
  4. Pour the cocktail into the glasses and serve

4. Driven Snow

A perfect Christmas cocktail – make sure your children don’t mistake this one for Santa’s treats. Sip on a Driven Snow as people sing carols, children laugh and fight, and your family loves and annoys you. 

What you’ll need:

  • 45 ml white chocolate liqueur
  • 30 ml rum
  • 45 ml ginger liqueur
  • 4 finely-crushed candy canes
  • 4 ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients, except for crushed candy canes, to a shaker
  2. Shake well
  3. Rim the glasses with crushed candy canes
  4. Pour the cocktail into the glasses and serve

5. The North Pole

Ho, ho, ho this one has chocolate, ginger and peppermint! I mean these flavours define the vibe of Christmas for a foodie and daaru person! 

What you’ll need:

  • 120 ml vodka
  • 60 ml Kahlúa
  • 4 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tsp molasses
  • 1/8 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tbsp whipped cream
  • 4 ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients, except for whipped cream, to a shaker
  2. Shake well
  3. Add ice to it and shake again
  4. Strain into glasses
  5. Garnish with whipped cream and serve
