It’s the season to get the hell out of this steaming hot country and travel the world. And honestly, can you think of a better weekend than one spent exploring Disney World? I know, I know, some of you are going to scoff but we have some news for you. Disney World recently started serving alcohol in ALL of their sit-down restaurants, including some fairytale-like cocktails you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Here’s five of the ones that you need to try if you’re in the vicinity!
Millenial Pink Celebration Toast
Amorette’s Pattiserie in Disney Springs (only a short way away from Walt Disney World) really has got it on point with this new cocktail that’s already making waves after launching just last month. The drink is made of Fairy Tale Celebration Cuvee topped with white chocolate ears. Not only is it refreshing and delicious, it’s also highly Instagram-worthy.
The Backscratcher
If you happen to visit Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, don’t forget to pop into the Tambu Lounge and order a backscratcher for yourself. Get all the feels of being in a tropical island with this drink consisting of Myers’s dark original rum, Bacardi superior rum, apssion fruit juice and a splash of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey. If this isn’t enough to get you in the door, they also give you backscratcher that you can take home with you!
Rum Blossom
Excuse me, may I just ask, how does a cocktail served in an actual plastic clear cup still look this photogenic? Only available at the Pongu Pongu stand at Pandora, this drink sounds absolutely delicious with layers of apple and pear dessert limeade, a generous helping of Bacardi superior rum and a topping of passion fruit boba balls. What more could you ask for in a summer drink?
Leaping Leprechaun
It may not look like much after the first three cocktails, but the Leaping Leprechaun found at the Rose & Crown Dining Room & Pub really does pack a punch. Jameson Irish whiskey, Skyy vodka, Don Q Cristal rum, sweet and sour, melon liqueur and Sprite make up this magical (almost dangerous sounding) drink. It’s one for the bucket list for sure.
Hippopoto-Mai Tai
The pun would be enough to draw me into buying this cocktail at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at the Disney Polynesian Village Resort but the twist on the Mai Tai and the cute serving glass do help even more. Coruba Dark rum, Bacardi superior rum, orgeat, agave nectar, bols orange curacao and fresh lime juice are used to create the magic that is this cocktail.
