5 Drinking Destinations To Visit This Winter

It’s the end of another year and going on a vacation is the perfect way to begin the next one. What better way to celebrate winters to the fullest than taking a flight straight to some of the best spots known for their winters. And because you are reading this on the Unsobered website, we have to mix in the liquor – so here are the best winter drinking destinations to be at this New Year’s Eve.

1. Aspen, USA

Head over to Aspen in Colorado if you are looking to relax over craft beers and other alcoholic beverages in the company of friendly local people. Not a night party destination, Aspen offers you restaurants, cafes and bars along with ski trips on snowy mountains and a mesmerizing view of the town from full-windowed gondola cabs.

2. Whistler, Canada

Whistler will embrace the wild party animals (like me) as well as the read-a-book-while-drinking kind of nerds (very unlike me). You have an exciting nightlife waiting for you here as well as the quiet traditional pubs which will serve you lager and play slow music. The town also flaunts active snow sports joints that invite all the (hungover) thrill seekers to the area. What else do you need?

3. Ireland

Ireland had to be on this list! The whole country is a drinking destination yaaron. Whether you go there for the Guinness stout or the not-for-the-weak-hearted Poitín, you will come across friendly strangers narrating Irish folklore to the tourists over a few pints of beer. Do make it a point to fill your tummy with some delicious Irish dishes while enjoying traditional Irish music.

4. St. Barthélemy, France

If you are not a winter person, St Barths is a perfect vacay spot for you. You have sun-kissed beaches, beautiful fishing villages and a party destination like no other. Find yourself a place on the popular Nikki Beach to drink and party with celebrities, and make sure you plan your vacation in sync with their annual toga party! Be prepared for a booze-filled time on this party island.

5. Berlin, Germany

Berlin is one of the most diverse party places in the world. The city is able to offer boozy fun of every nature, from posh clubs to kinky underground party venues. The winter season has rain pouring down on the city, but fret not as the people will warm your heart with their like-mindedness and their always-ready-to-party attitude. Head over for a serving of mulled wine, freshly-brewed beer or hard whiskey, which you will find just about everywhere.
