5 Multi-Coloured Drinks To Celebrate Holi

It is March and it’s the time of colours again. While the summer seems to be bringing back natural colours to the colder parts of our country and Holi seems to be driving up sales of colours and water pistols everywhere, I am going to give you 5 drink recipes that will satisfy the adult you’s inner child!

1. Irish Flag

Irish or Indian, this shooter will make you happy regardless of your nationality. Featuring the three colours of our flag, this drink is as boozy as it is delicious! 

What you’ll need:

  • 10 ml mint liqueur
  • 10 ml Irish cream
  • 10 ml orange liqueur
  • 1 shot glass

Instructions:

  1. Pour mint liqueur into the glass
  2. Pour Irish cream on the back of a spoon over it
  3. Pour orange liqueur on the back of the spoon next
  4. Serve

2. Four Leaf Clover

This yellow and green-hued cocktail is a perfect serve for after-Holi celebrations. When the colours are still in the air, you can sit back with a Four Leaf Clover and indulge in some holiday-relaxation.  

What you’ll need:

  • 15 ml Irish whisky
  • 30 ml orange juice
  • 15 ml mint liqueur
  • 10 ml sugar syrup
  • 10 ml lemon juice
  • 4 ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Add all the ingredients, except for mint liqueur, to a shaker
  2. Shake well
  3. Strain into a glass
  4. Top it with mint liqueur with the back of a spoon
  5. Serve 

3. Florida Sunshine

Why don’t you start your desi Holi with a boozy Florida Sunshine? It will warm your heart and prepare you for a fun colour-filled day and unannounced water sprays!

What you’ll need:

  • 30 ml tequila
  • 15 ml grenadine
  • 30 ml orange juice
  • 30 ml pineapple juice
  • 4 ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Add ice to a glass
  2. Pour the juices and tequila next
  3. Stir
  4. Top it with grenadine
  5. Serve 

4. Zombie

Start serving Zombies when you are unable to tell between your friends and your face starts to look unfamiliar due to all the colours mixed together! 

What you’ll need:

  • 15 ml white rum
  • 15 ml dark rum
  • 10 ml gold rum
  • 15 ml pineapple juice
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 10 ml angostura bitters
  • Crushed ice

Instructions:

  1. Add all the ingredients to a shaker
  2. Shake well
  3. Strain into a glass
  4. Serve 

5. Fourth Of July

This Fourth Of July is a perfect shooter for this tenth of march! If you are sitting this Holi out, play with colours in your home, at your bar.

What you’ll need:

  • 15 ml vodka
  • 10 ml grenadine
  • 10 ml Blue Curacao
  • 1 shot glass

Instructions:

  1. Pour grenadine into the glass
  2. Use the back of a spoon to pour vodka
  3. Top it with Blue Curacao with the spoon again
  4. Serve
