5 Quirky Bars You Should Visit

When life gives you lemons, borrow money from Zoya Akhtar and go on a trip with your bois. To make this trip a story you will hide from your parents, walk in casually to these 5 quirky (and fun) bars around the globe!

P.S. Do give us credit when you sit down to share the stories at a house party.

1. Cellar Door, London

Cabaret! Burlesque! Drag Acts!

Quirky, fun and happening, Cellar Door serves flavoured snuff that you can either snort or take with a straw apart from other legal highs that they offer all night long. You can also request drinks that are not in the menu and ask for non-alcoholic beverages such as tea and coffee.

Having a fun time is mandatory at Cellar Door, with all events having a free entry. Make sure you buy a drink per set when and if you visit, that’s all they ask for!

2. Monkey Pants, Arizona

One of the most quirky and fun bars on this list, Monkey Pants hosts the best karaoke nights in all of Arizona. Their customs like Shirtless Shots and Fish Racing bring in a party every night. For a dollar and a penny, you can get a shot of their finest liquor if you go shirtless at 1 am! And if you have a pet fish, carry it with you to participate in the most intense fish race you will ever have a chance to witness!

If your kind of fun is participating in a trivia quiz, Monkey Pants has your ass covered as well! (Pun Intended.)

3. Lala’s Little Nugget, Texas

Christmas is never just a day at Lala’s Little Nugget! Branded as the most fun bar to have been ever visited by The People, this christmas-themed waterhole has elves dangling from strings all around, even the washrooms! The whole place is lit in christmas lights and decorations, with laughter and conversations adding to the most chill and festive vibe.

And the staff? It’s the most polite, making sure you have a jolly time throughput your stay. Order a Bloody Mary if and when you visit, recommended by the regulars at this christmasy bar.

4. Vinyl, Seoul

Drinking from ziplock bags is an integral part of the party culture in South Korea. The whole credit goes to Vinyl, where its owner brought this widespread practice after observing Taiwanese people drinking iced coffee from plastic bags. Here, your drinks are served in ziplock bags which you drink with a straw while you dance to your heart’s content!

Even though it is a small packed place, Vinyl has become very popular, with Korean partygoers hitting the spot on a daily basis. The cocktails are even more popular, with people buying them from a take-out window when entry is restricted due to overcrowding.

5. The Cauldron, London

Though not in collaboration with J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, and not a bar you can just walk into, The Cauldron lets you live the life of a wizard/witch who uses wands, magic and spells to create fantastic alcoholic elixirs and potions to help themselves in their life journeys.

Known to be the geekiest (and the most magical) bar in this muggle world, you can buy a ticket for £29.99 to experience the power like nothing else!
