5 Valentine’s Day Cocktails You Should Make For Your Bae

Heylo lovebirds! 14th February aka Valentine’s Day is in less than two weeks and it’s time to accept and embrace your love for that special one. You can buy chocolates, plan candle light dinners or make one of these love-filled cocktails for a romantic tipsy time. 

1. Love Potion

However much in love you are with your bae, you might end up doing something wrong to irk the warmth out of them. What better way to keep things lovely than by sipping on a love potion from time to time?

What you’ll need:

  • 90 ml gin
  • 30 ml lime juice
  • 30 ml elderflower liqueur
  • 180 ml rosé champagne
  • Edible rose petals
  • Ice 

Instructions:

  1. Add rose petals to the glass
  2. Add ice, gin, lime juice and elderflower liqueur to a shaker
  3. Shake for 10 seconds
  4. Strain into the glass
  5. Top with champagne and serve

2. Good Night Kiss

What you’ll need:

  • 120 ml champagne
  • 15 ml Campari
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 1 dash angostura bitters

Instructions:

  1. Add angostura bitters to a sugar cube
  2. Drop the sugar cube into the glass
  3. Add champagne to it
  4. Top it with Campari
  5. Serve 

3. Love Struck

What you’ll need:

  • 60 ml vodka
  • 60 ml passion fruit liqueur
  • 30 ml cranberry juice
  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • 15 ml simple syrup
  • 10 ml Prosecco
  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Add all the ingredients, except for Prosecco, to a shaker
  2. Shake and strain into a glass
  3. Top with Prosecco
  4. Serve 

4. Hanky Panky

It’s Valentine’s Day, of course some hanky panky is encouraged! This flavoursome cocktail will keep your bae cozy and you happy.

What you’ll need:

  • 45 ml gin
  • 45 ml sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes Fernet-Branca
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 sliced orange peel
  • Ice 

Instructions:

  1. Add all the ingredients, except for orange peel, to a pitcher
  2. Stir well
  3. Strain into a chilled glass
  4. Twist the orange peel to release its oils
  5. Leave the peel as garnish and serve

5. Be My Gal-entine

If you are done with men for a while and still want to soak in the Valentine’s vibe, you need to gather your girls and sip ‘Be My Gal-entine’ over women-centric films!

What you’ll need:

  • 15 ml Amaretto liqueur
  • 45 ml cherry cocktail juice
  • 90 ml Moscato
  • 3 cherries
  • Ice 

Instructions:

  1. Add Amaretto, cherry cocktail juice and ice to a shaker
  2. Shake and strain into a chilled glass
  3. Top it with Moscato, and stir
  4. Garnish with cherries
  5. Serve
