Jay Z knows how to carry a party, both with his music and champagne!
The Armand De Brignac champagne, popularly known as Ace of Spades, enjoys a niche market in the industry. Ever since the musician & rapper bought the champagne label from Sovereign Brands in the year 2014, the liquor has made its way into the glasses of Hollywood.
The credit of the beautiful but intricate process of producing a bottle of Armand De Brignac goes to the 12th and 13th generation wine growers – Jean-Jacques Cattier and his son Alexandre Cattier. Attention to the minute of details have enabled the Cattiers to grow the best quality of grapes in their vineyards. To maintain the champagne’s premium quality, only the first and freshest portion of the cuvée press is used by them.
Armand De Brignac offers five champagnes under its label –
Gold Brut – The first champagne by the label, Gold Brut uses an equal amount of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. It flaunts notes of exotic fruits and vanilla, and a fruity aroma of peach, apricot and red berries.
Rosé – A product of Pinot Noir, Rosé has notes of baked pastry and an aroma of sweet almond as well as fruits like strawberries, currants and cherries.
Demi-Sec – Another equal combination of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, the Demi-Sec boasts notes of citrus fruits and honey, and an aroma of English candy and grapefruit.
Blanc De Blancs – A Chardonnay offering, Blanc De Blancs has a flavour profile of guava, gooseberry and peach, and an aroma of buttered baked pastry, pear and hazelnut.
Blanc De Noirs – Using Pinot Noir grapes, the champagne offers notes of lemon, berries and walnut, and features an aroma of butter, gingerbread and chocolate.
Bottled in different bottle sizes, a standard 750 ml bottle of Armand De Brignac is priced at around $300.
Well, I am not rich enough (yet!) to party with this Jay Z offering but if we were to present you with a glass of the champagne, would you visit our office to try it? Tell us in the comments below.
