There’s a new wine in India which is tempting wine-enthusiasts all across the country!
Asav wine, an idea and product of Pedhapally Kishan is making the rounds amongst wine connoisseurs in Hyderabad currently. Pedhapally, who has 19 years of experience in the spirit industry and has worked with Chateau Indage and Sula Vineyards in the past, decided to use his expertise to launch his own wine label, Asav, in the city of Hyderabad. He wants the wine label to be the best in its price range, which uses the best yield of grapes to produce the fine fermented beverage.
Each process of Asav wine making – from viticulture, harvest, vinification and maturation to bottling is carefully followed up by Pedhapally to ensure only high quality wine is sealed in each bottle of the brand. Here, the grapes are cultivated without any use of chemicals and pesticides, resulting in Asav wines being a product of organic produce. The vines are also pruned to control the grape yields, ensuring that only the best quality of produce is grown in the vineyard.
The Asav label currently offers six wines under it – Sparkling Wine, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Reserve Shiraz, Madhura and Angoo Red Wine. Its most recent offering is Asav Cabernet Shiraz, which is priced to keep it highly-affordable in the market. This red wine has an aroma of blackberries and warm spices and goes extremely well with Indian dishes like spicy lamb, tender chicken and textured vegetable cutlets.
Pedhapally plans to launch the wine label across India, making sure it’s available at all premium hotels, restaurants, pubs and retail outlets in the country. I am planning to buy a bottle on my next visit to Hyderabad, what about you? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below!
