One of the most successful Indian craft beer brands, Bira 91 has not only dominated the domestic beer market since its launch but is also flourishing in international beer markets currently. Bira 91 was launched in 2015 and in the five years, the brand has been able to secure distribution channels across UAE, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, the US and the UK.
Now, to reaffirm its position in the domestic craft beer market, the brand has launched a taproom in the Koramangala area of Bangalore. With an aim to establish the city as the beer capital of the world and connect with customers directly to use their feedback to finalise the taproom beer menu and new bottled offerings, Bira 91 officially opened its gates of Bira 91 Limited Release Taproom on 28th February.
The 3500 sq. ft. big taproom can seat around 450 beer enthusiasts and flaunts 20 beer taps. Apart from the classic Bira 91 beers like White, Blonde, Strong and Light flowing fresh from the taps, the taproom will introduce a new limited-release beer every week!
The limited-release beers will be brewed at the Mysore-based microbrewery of the brand and will be transported to the taproom every week. The beers are priced at INR 250, and the enthusiasts have already declared their favourite beer to be West Coast IPA. It is a double dry hopped brew that uses Amarillo and Citra hops varieties in its brewing process. Other limited-releases include Pomegranate Champagne Rose, Belgian Golden Strong, Mysore Imperial Stout, Malabar Stout, Mango Lassi and Coconut Brown Ale.
The taproom will feature a grand collection of traditional and unconventional beers, along with a selection of other liquors on its menu. The property will host masterclasses, music performances, stand-up comedy acts and workshops along with other entertaining events.
