Cazulo Premium Feni – Bottling Goa In A Bottle

If you have ever explored Goa, you must have come across the locally-distilled clear spirit called Feni. Considered as one of the most exotic spirits in the world, Feni is synonymous to Goa today. Distilled by the locals, the spirit is available fresh at a distillation site as well as at commercial alcohol retail outlets and establishments.

Though it can be a little tough to find fresh Feni if you do not have any Goan friends, Cazulo Premium Feni is always a good option if you want to explore the spirit when visiting the state.

Cazulo, a premium feni brand is a family-owned bottling unit that was established in 1982 by Wilson and Melanie Vaz. Today, their three sons – Clinton, Hansel and Donovan – run the establishment to continue to offer a high-quality small-batch distilled bottle of Feni to liquor enthusiasts.

The Vaz family sources the spirit from local distillers directly, ensuring that only the finest of the spirit is bottled. It is packaged at its purest form – unaltered with no concentrate and no artificial yeast and flavours used in its production process.

Cazulo Feni promises a unique taste and character, being aged for 1 year in glass carboys-garrafones. Crafted in small batches, the spirit retains the aroma and flavour of its original ingredient – the cashew apple – throughout its production and bottling process.

Apart from offering Cashew Feni, the brand also bottles a premium Coconut Feni. Under the supervision of a master distiller, hand-harvested coconut toddy is distilled in pot stills in small batches where it is allowed to ferment by adding natural wild yeasts to it. The outcome is an exceptional artisanal-quality liquor which is bottled by Cazulo at its bottling unit.

Bottled at 42.8% ABV, I would highly recommend you to try Cazulo Feni to explore the liquor for what it is. Moreover, Cazulo launched a Dukshiri Feni quite recently, which is coconut feni distilled with the roots of Indian Sarsaparilla.

I wish to hear from you about your Cazulo Feni experiences soon, do share it with me in the comments below! Cheers
