Germany
Did you think of anything except currywurst? Well then, you’re wrong. The meat and pork sausages slathered in tomato sauce, paired with fries, are guaranteed to make all your drunk food dreams come true.
Kenya
Mandazi is the most popular of drunk foods in Kenya. What is Mandazi, you ask? Well it’s a coconut doughnut that can either be sweet or savoury. Sounds absolutely delish, doesn’t it?
Japan
You were kidding yourself if you didn’t instantly think of Ramen. Ramen is the soul food of the country so it’s obvious that after downing sake or maybe even a couple of beers, the Japanese head out or whip up their own soupy, wholesome Ramen.
Sri Lanka
Found in different variations in Tamil Nadu as well, kottu is a favourite even in Sri Lanka, especially after a few drinks have been downed. Made with fried egg, veggies and shredded parota (a more Southern Indian version of the paratha), the kottu is a drinker’s paradise.
Turkey
The doner kebab is the drunk food of choice when it comes to Turkey. After all, they do it so damn well! Lamb, chicken, beef, onions, garlic sauce, lettuce, tomatoes – you name it, they’ve got it all wrapped in a pita bread. We’re already drooling.
