Drinking Competitions From Around The Wold

We all know that one stud who can drink anyone under the table. Such people deserve some very real appreciation and the world knows it. These drinking competitions appreciate the real talent that otherwise ends up in toilets of bars past midnight. Here are some championships we’d like to see in our country:

Gelande Quaffing: It’s one of the greatest winter drinking sports of all time. Skiers and snowboarders unite to play this amazing game where two teammates stand at opposite ends of a 10-foot long table. One member slides a mug of beer down the table, as soon as the glass leaves the surface, the other teammate catches the mug and guzzles it down. As time passes, tricks are added to the mix to earn more points. And it is just as fun as it sounds.

TNA World Beer Drinking Championship: Although this challenge doesn’t exist anymore, it deserves an honorary mention. In the first round, one needed to play never have I ever with shots. In the second round, participants had to drink bottles taped to their hands till their bladders felt ready to explode. This was the WWE Championship of drinking and it sucks that they discontinued it.

The Beer Mile Competition: If you are dumb enough to drink a beer every quarter mile of a one-mile race on foot, this is the competition for you. If you throw up, you run an extra mile. How cool!

Bierkastenrennen – Across Germany: Germans love beer and they are super athletic. This competition brings both together and how. Everyone splits into teams of two, and they’re given a case of beer. A course is set, usually, around a lake or field — the distance is typically 5 km to 15 km. The objective of the game is to not only be the first team to cross the finish line, but the first team to do it with a finished case of beer. We’d probably lose but the case of beer would be over before you know it!

The World Series of Beer Pong: The World Series of Beer Pong is just like an Olympics event, except with beer. It’s created by beer pong players for beer pong players. Don’t take them lightly because the prizes worth upto 100,000 USD are at stake and the competition is tough. Beer pong champs out there, can you hear us?
