Experience An AR Menu At This UK Bar

Imagine scanning a bar menu with a phone application to find a secret list of cocktails hidden inside it. This is exactly what a popular UK bar, Be At One, has done in collaboration with Bacardi.  

You can download the London bar’s AR (augmented reality) application on your phone and scan the menu to find some secret cocktails, which will be available to order exclusively by you. Not only this, you will also be able to access special cocktail insights by Be At One’s bartenders and will be able to order from a list of three limited-edition cocktails featured there. 

This new interesting concept was developed by a UK-based marketing and communications agency, Clarity, to create a wave among the bar’s customer-base this festive season. It’s a part of the campaign ‘Be In The Know’ which aims at deepening the customer experience, creating loyalty amongst them and encouraging reservations during the holiday time which will soon be upon us. Will we see Indian bars integrating technology to create curiosity and talk among their customer-base? It’s obvious that Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality are quickly becoming popular avenues of marketing in the country. We’re hoping that this advancement in technology visits our bar experiences as well. And knowing the industry, we can’t wait for the endless possibilities that they’ll come up with.
