Fable

Sales today gone tomorrow, drinks designed born and borrowed; Customers want to drown their sorrow, maybe someday my diners will follow…

Still figuring out the moral of this story

Let’s cut to the chase. Fable has the feel of an early English library, inside an old man’s mansion who was obviously very very rich and very very poor at keeping it respectable. He wasted his wealth away setting up interesting décor options rather than reading any of the books that were truly available for mankind to explore – the depths of humanity written in word. What he got was an old restaurant with a ‘blah’ spin. A spin that can perhaps put you to sleep. *poop emoji*

Snobby Juhu-ites and rich Bandrites all unite under this banner of a lifetime – A self-proclaimed story of love, romance, drama, food and booze. *Yawn*

Their punchline reads -“cooking up stories”. But there’s nothing more depressing than an uncooked dish…*insert awkward cough*… story

It opened up minutes away from my house and it still fucking won’t deliver. Damn it Fable! Juhu, more than anything, needs you to deliver.

Their food and drinks are nothing to write home about, but their location is BANG On – right in the middle of all the action.

Inspired by ‘Leaping Windows’ (which my god is a great restaurant), this place has the liquor, but their cocktails aren’t there yet. Their breakfast and waffles are amazeballs though. For chrissake, there had to be something that did justice to their English décor.

These ‘storytellers’ have tried so hard by shelling out a bomb on development and design, and yet we’re bashing them for all their worth. This is the story of nuanced restaurants these days.

All in all, quite a goofy way to open up a new restaurant, but such is the folly of most new bars. Having said that, ‘laid-back’ Juhu just found a new place to go crash. *Oops*
