Forget Potatoes, Here’s A Vodka Made From Peas

Gone are the days when distillers used generation-passed down recipes to distil spirits. Now, it’s all about experimenting and exploring the world of spirits to create and offer the finest of liquors birthed from the most creative and unique ideas. Walking the line, we have a breakfast cereal-inspired beer, Breakfast Cereal Stout by Goa Brewing Co. in India and Rosella Gold vodka which is made in Uzbekistan, from peas.

All Things Nice, a spirit marketing agency launched the premium Rosella Gold Vodka in Mumbai by organizing an event at Olive Bar & Kitchen recently. The evening consisted of cocktails made from the vodka to offer the guests a chance to appreciate the fine spirit.

The vodka, which is distilled in a 1942 Tashkent-based distillery of JSC Uzbekistan Shampani is being imported to India by Aditya Export. Priced at INR 2,500, the liquor is triple-distilled with double-softened water. It is bottled at 40% ABV and is highly appreciated when served neat.

Praised for its smooth texture, Rosella Gold has made a mark on Indian vodka-enthusiasts. With all the murmur around its launch, the vodka will be in competition with the domestic premium vodka label Smoke in the Indian spirit market.

I am excited to see the labels’ respective market share in the year 2020, are you as well? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
