Gin Magazine Awards winners of 2021 announced

Gin has been our one true saviour post the endless work from home Zoom sessions and pining over the outdoors. And the industry, although having to deal with the setbacks that came with the pandemic, still managed to only grow manifold. To honour brands that have excelled in their categories along with the icons of the current industry and the legends of gin, the Gin Magazine Awards handed accolades in three different parts – World Gin Awards, Icons of Gin and Gin Magazine Hall of Fame.

Among the noteworthy winners of these prestigious awards (held online for the first time this year) was Lyden Distillery from Sweden that won Best London Dry Gin and Brazil’s Amazzoni Gin which was named as the Distiller of the Year for Icons of Gin.

The Hall of Fame so four inductees that have contributed majorly in the gin revolution – spirits writer and judge David T. Smith; owner of The Gin Room in St Louis and founder of The Gin World, Natasha Bahrami; master distiller at Hendrick’s Gin Lesley Gracie and France’s Maison Villevert fame Jean-SĂ©bastien Robicquet.

The editor of Gin Magazine, Bethany Whymark, expressed how she believes this to be a great time to be working in the gin industry and lauded people of the industry for their hardwork and compassion. She also congratulated the winners and thanked the global judging panel.
