Flavoured spirits have held a good share of the global spirit market since their launch. Distillers have been successful in creating a market for common flavours like green apple, orange and lemon as well as not so common flavours like cinnamon, teaberry and chili pepper.
Now, for the first time ever, Slapjack vodka label has brought a jackfruit-flavoured vodka to the liquor market. Launched by liquor distributor MBF Company, Slapjack vodka is being described as a smooth and juicy blend of tropical flavours. The liquor is flavoured with natural jackfruit, offering notes of other fruits like mango, banana, pineapple, orange and peach along with it.
Since jackfruit is considered a superfood for its high nutrient and vitamin value and has gained popularity as a vegan and vegetarian food staple, it was only natural to infuse the flavour into a spirit next.
Slapjack vodka is distilled six times from 100% corn mash-bill and is filtered thrice, which gives it its smooth texture. No artificial colours and flavours are used in the distillation process and the distillers use pure cane sugar instead of corn syrup. And the best part? Slapjack vodka is gluten-free and truly vegan!
It is recommended to serve the flavoured liquor fully-chilled or mixed into cocktails. A product of a Georgia-based microdistillery, the vodka is bottled at 35% ABV.
