Hiro Sake Launches With A Single-Serving Design In The US

As we know, sake is a popular Japanese alcoholic beverage. Distilled from fermented rice, the spirit is highly popular in Japan and its neighbouring regions. With the continuous expansion of different regional spirit markets in the global spirit industry, alcohol enthusiasts in western countries have become well aware of sake and popular Japanese sake brands. This has encouraged brands like Hiro Sake to launch the spirit in international markets.

The premium Japanese sake brand, Hiro Sake, decided to launch the spirit in single-serving 180 ml glass bottles in the US. The US spirit market has proven profitable for single-serve spirit offerings like that of wine and champagne in the past. The success can be traced back to the purchase-choices of Millennials and Gen Z consumers.

These single-serving sake bottles offer portability and convenience benefits which appeal to the target consumer-base. The mini beverage bottles are versatile, being suitable for neat consumption as well as used as cocktail mixers. It offers a chance for experimental enthusiasts to explore the spirit without investing in a bigger and more expensive bottle as well.

The brand plans to attract fitness enthusiasts as sake is naturally gluten-free, sugar-free and contains no preservatives. It also contains half the calories of other spirits like vodka. Hiro sake is distilled from 100% Koshi-Tanrei sake rice at a brewery in the Japanese sake producing region of Niigata Prefecture. The spirit is bottled at 15% ABV and is priced at US $6.49.

Hiro Sake launched the spirit in Florida, making the single-serving spirit bottles available at on-premise outlets. By the end of 2020, Hiro Sake plans to distribute in the whole US market and other international markets like Australia.

It would be pretty exciting if Hiro Sake decides to launch the spirit in India next. What do you think? Tell us in the comments below.
