Jameson Cold Brew: A Whisky-Espresso Shot

Jameson, the popular Irish whisky company has a new whisky up its sleeves. Caving in to its consumers’ continuous demands, the whisky distillery has introduced a well-balanced blend of Irish whisky and coffee – the tasteful Jameson Cold Brew!

A limited-edition whisky, it uses Arabica beans from Brazil and Colombia in its production process. The bottled drink offers the smooth taste of the triple-distilled Jameson whisky infused with a rich coffee flavour, celebrating and encouraging a passion of whisky-coffee blends. With no added sugar, Jameson Cold Brew is expected to highly-appeal to its target consumer-base.

Each shot of Jameson Cold Brew holds 17 mg of caffeine, which is equal to the amount found in an espresso shot. The full-bodied cold brew whisky packs an aroma of rich coffee and vanilla, and flavourful notes of toasted oak and dark chocolate. While Jameson recommends serving the alcoholic drink over ice to best savour it, it seems to be a perfect ingredient for a range of coffee-flavoured cocktails like Espresso Martini and Irish Coffee.

Jameson has launched the whisky in the US spirit market this month. It is bottled at 30% ABV and is priced at US $37. Before launching in the US, Jameson carried out successful trial runs in the markets of Ireland and Australia. This encouraged the whisky company’s plans to launch in the US.

For now, Jameson does not plan on launching the cold brew whisky in any other market, which is an unfavourable decision for whisky enthusiasts all over the world. Considering the popularity of this new whisky blend, we would like to get a taste of the spirit in India next.
