Johnnie Walker’s classic Red Label, Black Label and Gold Label Reserve have gotten a makeover this year to celebrate JW’s 200th birthday!
While usually the slanted labels are the colour of the name, this limited edition release has the respective colours wrapping the entire bottle giving it a chic, sleek look for collectors around the world.
200 years ago John Walker opened a tiny grocery store in Scotland and went on to blend whiskies and sell them. The founder’s son Alexander was the first to launch the brand’s first commercial blend all the way back in 1867, and there’s been no stopping it since.
While Johnnie Walker has already released four limited edition whiskies to commemorate this very special occasion, these new label bottles are definitely a great tribute as well. And they aren’t stopping here! They also plan to release a paper-based, plastic-free bottle in 2021 to support big brands’ move to more sustainable packaging.
