Moet Hennessy launches its very own Cuban Rum – Eminente

We all know and love Moet Hennessy for being, well, Moet Hennessy – one of the best of the best when it comes to luxury liquor. And while their staples do still cause a flutter in our stomachs, their recent launch has really got us going. The LVMH group has forayed into the Cuban rum category, creating Eminente!

Being released in the UK, this 7-year aged rum has been blended to perfection to be both a sipping rum as well as to perform beautifully in cocktails or over ice. This was created with a lot of love and care by one of Cuba’s youngest maestro ronero or master rum distiller – Cesar Marti. It is bottled at 41.3% ABV and costs around a whopping 50 GBP.

Even the packaging including the crocodile logo and scaley textured appearance of the bottle screams luxury. It was created keeping in mind that it is an ode to the island of Cuba – its endemic species the Cuban Crocodile and the local name of the island itself being Isla del Corcodilo.

The taste is said to be light yet fruity with the ripe taste of sugarcane that brings the aguardiente crucial to making this nineteenth-century inspired rum. Thanks to being aged in white oak barrels for a minimum of 7 years, the rum also has a wonderful depth.
