Alcohol is as old as our civilization and over time it has been guided by us to work in favour of our fellow humans by means of reduced ABVs, better taste and providing indirect monetary aid. Confused?
Created by Snehalaya charity organization in collaboration with 45 Gin School – The Distillers Kitchen in the UK, Spiced Karma Gin has been conceptualised for a cause. It was created to celebrate 30 years of charity work done by the charity organization which works for the welfare of women, children and LGBT communities in India. For every bottle purchased of the spicy gin, a minimum of £10 is donated to the non-profit organization. The funds from the sales are utilized to eradicate inequality, discrimination and cruelty in the specific Indian communities in the state of Maharashtra.
Spiced Karma gin was launched at 45 West Bar in Leicester, England where it is available for purchase currently. The gin packs a savoury bitter taste that offers subtle spicy notes to the drinker. Its aroma and aftertaste are heavy on the spice profile, thus justifying its name. It is bottled at 40% ABV and is priced at £30.
The gin is available in 5 different colour labels with the gin recipe being the same in all the bottles, the colours being yellow, blue, pink, red and white. The label design is unique and catches one’s eye immediately.
So, if you ever come across Spiced Karma gin on one of your travels abroad, do buy a bottle to help your fellow countrymen from a far away land!
