We, at Unsobered, always have a keen eye for the booze that’s the very best in the business.
And with the recently held 2020 Global Rosé Masters having not one but two winners, both tied at 96 points, you get to choose between 2 of the most premium rosés out there.
We’re talking about Garrus by Château d’Esclans and Clos du Temple by Gérard Bertrand, two fantastic French rosés. While the former is made from grapes grown in Côtes de Provence, Clos du Temple is made from a biodynamic vineyard in Languedoc.
Clos du Temple, at £170, is as steep as steep could be. The pale pink rosé comes with fruity aromas of apricot, peach, strawberry along with the fragrance of rose and spice in the form of green pepper. A rosé, with its lovely texture of tannins and citrus, is a complex and very layered drink to say the least. But it’s one that you simply will relish to the very last sip.
On the other hand, one’s certainly paying a premium for quality at £120 when it comes to Garrus. The salmon pink rosé is packed with fruity flavours of peach, red berries, cherries and orange blossom and a touch of vanilla. Filled with texture and flavour aplenty, one gets an oak-aged white clubbed with the vibrant touch of a rose.
Easily available online, if you ever wanted something very smooth and classy to drink on a special occasion, it certainly doesn’t get any better than this. Cheers!
