Life’s hard for a single girl. All her friends are obsessed with their relationships, people keep asking her about her non-existent love life and she’s probably still confused about why people don’t get the awesomeness of single-hood. But if there’s one thing that can make her life easier, it’s alcohol and here’s why:
It’s your friend: Booze is your best friend. It doesn’t judge you, it doesn’t care if you don’t dress up for a brunch or if you haven’t heard about the latest makeup range. Alcohol embraces you, for who you are. And I think it’s beautiful.
All plans can revolve around it: All your plans can naturally revolve around it. You know what to do on a Friday evening, there’s no confusion. Also, if you appreciate spontaneity, a bottle of wine can land you anywhere.Your washroom, a pavement or a stranger’s house, who knows? Thrilling much?
Good sleep: A quarter of brandy and the zen feels of knowing nobody’s cheating on you, ought to bring you some good sleep. No late night calls and texting – your body clock will thank you.
You love eating: With good booze will come good food. It could be because of post-drinking hunger pangs or the meal you have to avoid a hangover the next morning – there will be food regardless.
You are yourself: You are in your pajamas, with a beer bottle (or case, we don’t judge) and chips. You are tipsy, careless and open. Your life sucks and you are okay with it. At least you are not pretending.
It makes you happy: You need no man. You are a single girl who has her drinks and is content with it. It might not give you butterflies in your stomach, but it will give you warmth. And more often than not, booze will be much more dependable than any partner you’ll ever have.
