To celebrate the vision of the distillery’s Master Distiller Chris Morris and the label’s commitment to innovation and craftsmanship in the whiskey market, Woodford Reserve releases a batch proof Bourbon every year.
The limited-edition batch proof Bourbon is a celebration of Woodford Reserve’s batching process in itself. The releases require the blend of barrels into a batch and bottling the spirit straight from the barrels at its actual alcohol proof. These offerings become a part of the Master’s Collection series, with one batch proof Bourbon being released annually.
Woodford Reserve Batch Proof uses the same grain bill and distillation process of the label’s flagship Woodford Reserve Bourbon. One can experience the same flavour profile, aroma and finish in the batch proof offering, the only difference being that the essence of it is intense and pure in every aspect. The offering packs an aroma of cranberry, raisin, sandalwood, clove, peppermint and aged leather and a flavour profile of raisin, brown sugar, spicy leather, oak, almond and cedar wood. The finish is long, leaving behind the taste of fruity raisin and a malty sweetness on the palate.
The offering is bottled at 61.8% ABV and is priced at US $129.99. The bottles are available for purchase in selective US and global markets.
