World’s first naturally black gin

The first naturally black gin is here and it’s gorgeous! From the New Zealand-based distiller Scapegrace Black, this gin is taking the world by storm and leaving other coloured liquors far behind.

Made from a smooth blend of botanicals like aronia berry, pineapple, saffron, butterfly pea flower and sweet potato – the black gin is not only unusual in colour but also ingredients. The colour comes from the temperature at which these botanicals are distilled and the sequence in which they are combined.

It is said that Scapegrace Black is full-bodied and luxurious in taste and has dominant flavour of pineapples and candied sweet potato. Owing to the butterfly pea flower, the gin also tends to change colour according to the mixers added.

What do you think of this new entrant into the liquor market?
