The countdown to the new year has already started for some of us even though many of us do not have any concrete plans for the 31st. I have come to your rescue with these 5 bars that are hosting a New Year’s bash. Read on to decide which bar you should be dancing, drinking and celebrating at.
1. Monkey Bar, Bandra
Monkey Bar is the country’s first gastropub, and has multiple outlets across India. The Bandra bar is offering a night of year-end dancing with their in-house DJ Diptesh playing the sickest of tracks for you. There is no entry fee or cover charge applicable (yay!) but the bar requires the couples making table reservations to settle a minimum bill of INR 5000. The party is scheduled to start at 8 pm and will go on till 4 am.
It is recommended to make reservations by 25th December.
2. JLWA, Bandra
The classy restro bar, JLWA has DJ Pratik getting people on the floor from 9 pm to 3 am. A cover charge of INR 6000 is applicable on couple entry, INR 4000 on male stags and INR 3000 on single females. The cover charge will include unlimited servings of four veg. And non veg. starters as well as imported liquor.
The party scene is rumoured to be lit here.
3. Bombay Cocktail Bar, Andheri
A party hub, BCB is in my high regards for a dance-worthy night outing. This year, the bar has planned a DJ line-up of four DJs and a percussionist to play Bollywood and commercial music all night long. Though there is no cover charge applicable, you are required to buy entry passes which are priced at INR 6000 for couples, INR 4000 for male stags and INR 3000 for females.
The passes will include unlimited servings of food and liquor – food consisting of five veg. and non veg. starters, two veg. and non veg. main course dishes, and two desserts, whereas liquor will involve Black & White/Dewars whisky, Absolut vodka, Bacardi rum, Sula wine, Gordon’s gin and Budweiser beer along with cocktails.

4. Raasta, Khar
Raasta has always offered a good time to its guests and you’re guaranteed to have a great time at the bar. Couples are required to pay a cover charge of INR 6000 while males stags will be charged INR 3500 and females INR 3000. It will be inclusive of unlimited food servings of seven veg. and non veg. starters and two pizzas, and unlimited liquor consisting of vodka, whisky and beer orders.

5. Opa! Bar & Cafe, Andheri
Opa! Bar & Cafe, a happening lounge bar in Sakinaka will have a DJ rocking the night from 9 pm to 4 am. Cover charges of INR 6000 will be applicable on couple walk-ins, INR 8000 on male stags and INR 2000 on females. The whole amount is redeemable against food and liquor. You can reserve tables at a starting price of INR 30,000.
It is recommended to make reservations as early as you can.
