Christmas is right around the corner and like me, you too are looking for places to get your festive on. If you also happen to be bitten by the travel bug, this list is perfect for you. These festive bars from NYC to London will have you booking a flight immediately!
Coppa Club Igloos, London
You’re not doing Christmas right if you aren’t spending it in igloos that come with heaters, blankets and speakers. The igloos have a great view of Tower Bridge and can be booked for up to 8 people, so you can have a truly unique drinking experience with your friends. Considering how popular this was last year, you can try booking this for a Christmas lunches, November 21 onwards.
Miracle on Ninth Street (at Mace), New York City
The swanky East Village bar has been transforming into a go-to for all Christmas enthusiasts for the past 3 years, and this year is no different. It is part of a larger initiative called Miracle which overhauls several other bars across the world. Get ready for specialty cocktails and a whole lot of cheer at Mace. The special Miracle glassware will be for sale and 10 percent of the proceeds will go towards Action Against Hunger. What’s Christmas without the spirit of giving, right?
Le Miracle Montreal, Montreal
Le Miracle Montreal’s pop-up bar (another Miracle bar) takes the song ‘Deck The Halls’ pretty seriously. There’s nothing more Christmas-like than seeing lights, listening to carols and watching Christmas specials on the telly. But wait there’s more. They’ll also have eggnog, Santa Claus and holiday-themed drinks such as Christmopolitans and Vin Chaud shots.
Lily & Bloom, Hong Kong
If you want something closer to home but still want to feel like a jet-setter, head to Lily & Bloom. They’re taking part in the Miracle celebrations worldwide with cocktails such as How The Gimlet Stole Christmas and You’ll Shoot Your Rye Out. Hopefully the staff’s going to be adorning ugly Christmas sweaters to get into the spirit too. There’s no chance you’ll ever want to leave!
NYLO’s The Cocktail Factory, NYC
In case you’re looking for some offbeat way of celebrating, look no further than The Cocktail Factory which is taking inspiration from Charlie And The Chocolate Factory this December to February. Furnished with giant candy canes and mushroom seats, you’ll be transported to the childhood you always wanted. Try out their Goodie Goodie Gumballs – a drink consisting of Codigo 1530 tequila, St Germain and cranberry juice, served in a real gumball machine! That’ll make for one hell of an Instagram, don’t you think?
