Absolut launches paper bottles in the UK

As more and more alcohol brands make efforts to be more eco-conscious, Absolut Vodka has released paper bottle alternatives for their previously glass packaging and it looks stunning!

Their prototype aims to be a fully bio-based bottle that contains liquor and eliminates glass replacing it with a mix of paper and recycled plastic. With this packaging, Absolut is hoping to have a positive impact on the recent serious climate change issues and discussions. They are testing out this bottle with 2,000 consumers at first to get their feedback and reactions and go back to the drawing board if need be. They have also commissioned this unique design from up and coming creatives based in the UK.

The prototype will be made of 57% paper and a thin plastic layer on the inside which will constitute 43% of the paper, making it reusable as well! Pernod has also said that this is one of the many new initiatives they will be undertaking in the coming year and we’re excited to see not only this bottle but the coming projects as well.
