Alcohol Trends To Watch Out For In 2020

As governments of a number of nations are in the process of legalizing the consumption of marijuana, alcohol brands are capitalizing on the new policy by introducing CBD-infused beverages to their consumer-base. We are sure CBD drinks will be ‘the new thing’ in 2020, here are a few other alcohol trends that might trend the coming year.

Flavouring it up!

History is a witness to vintage trends making a comeback every 20-30 years. The same will happen in the spirit industry as millennials and Gen Z are demanding flavoured spirits. Flavoured vodka will rule again and fruit-tones sodas and mixers will dictate the alcoholic beverage market.

Green is good

With recent legislative bills legalizing the trade of cannabis in some countries, spirit companies are sweeping in to produce CBD-infused spirits. If India follows suit, we might be able to taste them ourselves. Otherwise, we will have to find happiness in our once in a while ‘foreign’ trips to taste these delicious new inventions.

All fruits are good fruits

If you thought canned wine was the only wine trend to grace our world, you are wrong. Be prepared to have a flood of pineapple and chikoo wines take over wine shops in the country. With farmers pushing pineapple as a wine fruit, and entrepreneurs entering the wine market with innovative ideas such as using a variety of fruits (other than grapes) to produce wine, you might be pouring yourself a glass of jackfruit wine next year.

Feel the fizz

Across the globe, bars are noticing that an increasing number of people prefer to order fizzy cocktails over other alcoholic beverages. For this purpose, established bars are now offering a plethora of carbonated cocktails to their guests. Some are going to the extent of carbonating their own sodas. So much for the fizz, huh?

Which of these do you think will be a hit and which one is going to be a miss? Comment down below with your thoughts.
