Don Julio’s latest venture – Primavera – is a tequila that’s been aged in casks that contained orange wine in the past and it sounds divine!
The tequila has been released early in limited amounts even though their initial release date was set for 2022. Currently only 15,000 cases are available for purchase, but if you aren’t able to score yours this year, there will be more coming in spring 2022.
With the taste of spice and honeyed agave and a finish of citrus, this could be the tequila doing the rounds at fancy parties soon enough. And the fact that they are aged in casks that once house wines made of macerated orange peels, adds just the right touch of intrigue.
Tequila Don Julio Primavera is currently priced at an RRP of USD 99 so get ready to shell out if you want to see this beauty in your bar.
