But amongst those rightly acing so is Geist Brewing Co’s amazing selection – particularly the Geist Repeat Strong. It is a craft lager that has earned the honor of being India’s first-ever export-style craft lager. With the announcement of the launch taking place on August 25, 2025, Geist Brewing Co. will soon begin selling its export-style craft lager in select cities in South India.
Geist Brewing Co. announced that the Geist Repeat Strong will be a full- flavored craft lager that will join its core portfolio of retail offerings. This will only expand its flagship range of packaged 500 ml cans from four to now five beers.
Speaking of the craft lager itself, it is an interpretation of the German Helles Exportbier. As per Vidya Kubher, Head Brewer, Geist Brewing Co., the lager is “bold on alcohol and has a distinct balance between malts, hops and finish.”
The Geist Repeat Strong is only mildly bitter, with an International Bitterness Unit (IBU) of 18. But the bitter hops are perfectly balanced by malts, lending a strong, bold taste to the end-product and a finish that lingers on your taste buds. It is noticeably malty, balanced with light aromatic hops, and is perfect for almost any occasion!

Geist Brewing Co. announced that the export-style craft lager will be for sale in Bengaluru initially and will be available in 500 ml cans retailing for INR 210. It will also be available on tap in select locations in the city. Soon after, it plans to launch in cities like Pondicherry, Kochi, Calicut, Kolkata, and Trivandrum.
