The Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair 2019 saw more than 1000 exhibitors and close to 45,000 visitors attending the event. The fair, which is organized twice a year, held its 12th event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 7th to 9th of November.
Attendees witnessed great pavilions and trade organizations from different regions and countries showcasing their collection of wine and spirits, and introducing new spirits to the public. The Czech Grape and Wine Producer Association, Canadian Food Exporters’ Association, Wines of Germany and Italian Trade Commission were some of the exhibitors.
The Vinitaly Pavilion, which was one of the largest pavilions at the fair, showcased a collection of fine wines from Italy. And the Craft Beer Pavilion introduced local craft beer brands to attendees.
The fair had 70 events on its itinerary, including the popular Wine Industry Conference which has wine professionals from all over the world attending it. Debra Meiburg, Asia’s Master of Wine, served as an advisor and a moderator at the conference. She discussed the latest happenings in the wine industry and interacted with the audience over the conference theme of “Game Changer: Marketing Wine in Millennial Bottles.
Apart from this, there were wine tasting sessions, cocktail demonstrations and seminars, opportunities to network with fellow entrepreneurs in the wine and spirit industry and paid courses offered by Asia Wine Academy among other events.
