I believe what you drink says a lot about your personality and I have great faith in scotch drinkers. I believe that they stand out from the lot wherever they are and here’s why.
The simplicity: We don’t want whipped cream and berries to top our drinks, we don’t want flowers as garnish. Scotch is scotch. It comes with just ice cubes and awesomeness and we are content with it.
There’s a sudden respect that comes after ordering scotch: Go to the counter and say Scotch on the rocks and just wait. There’s a sudden newfound respect for you amongst anyone who heard you. People want virgin margaritas with extra lime wedges and bartenders mostly wanna quit their jobs after such picky orders. So when you keep it real and to the point, they appreciate it.
Manners: This could be a stereotype, but I believe that if you drink scotch, you have some class and manners. It could be just me, but if you are a scotch person, I expect you to behave with some panache. Reflect your choice of poison, please!
They are humble too: It’s not beer or vodka. You can’t fool around much with scotch, ya. When you drink scotch on an everyday basis, you will learn your limits and capacity soon enough. There’s no other way of living.
They are patient with the palate: Scotch isn’t anyone’s love at first drink. Liking scotch takes time and a refined palate. It’s an acquired taste. I am not biased, but us scotch drinkers just have great taste.
