India’s Largest Brandy Maker Unveils Their First Premium Brandy –  Monarch Legacy Edition

The Monarch Grape Brandy

Tilaknagar Industries has been a pioneer in India’s brandy-making industry since 1933. Producing the world’s second most-sold brandy in the form of Mansion House Brandy, the industry giant recently introduced its first premium brandy – Monarch on November 27, 2024. Even though brandy is the second-most consumed spirit in India, its luxury segment lacks a standout product. With Monarch, the luxury brandy segment is set for a much-needed standout offering consumers a unique experience that’s both local and luxurious.

Formation Of The Monarch Premium Brandy

The idea of debuting Monarch stems from the desire to elevate Indian brandy’s status to match international standards. It is the culmination of decades of distilling expertise and innovation and crafting the best experience possible. The Monarch Legacy Edition is a blend of French grape spirits, aged up to eight years in French oak casks, and Indian grape spirits sourced from the Sahyadri region of Maharashtra. The spirit is distilled using traditional coal-fired copper pot stills, a hallmark of French Cognac craftsmanship. This creation leads to a brandy that is a beautiful amalgamation of French techniques and Indian conditions and topography.

Flavors Of The Monarch Premium Brandy

Born in the lush Sahyadri region of Maharashtra, it is a premium 100% pure grape brandy. Made from Ugni Blanc grapes, the brandy is aged in ex-wine French oak barrels for up to 8 years. This results in a rich symphony of refined flavors – it has rich grape and fruit aromas, with hints of apple, nutmeg, and subtle tobacco. A gentle sweetness transitions the spirit into creamy oak and indulgent dried fruits. The dense Sahyadri climate intensifies flavor extraction during maturation, inspiring it with the timeless techniques of French brandy-making and the flavors of India, ultimately capturing the best of both worlds. This rich, creamy flavor elevates Indian brandy to an art form, rather than just being known as a spirit.

The Monarch presents a premium experience and reflects the growing demand of Indian consumers in the luxury drinking sector. The brand is hopeful of positioning itself as the go-to premium choice for its consumers. Not just in India, but also in international markets.
