Smoke Vodka: The Most Expensive Indian Vodka

There’s a new contender for India’s most expensive vodka and in our opinion, it’s here to make a mark, both nationally and internationally. Smoke Vodka, the latest venture by Delhi-based liquor distributor NV Group comes fast on the heels of their other recent launch – Royal Envy, a premium whisky. While the whisky made quite a ripple, Smoke Vodka is set to make waves in the Indian market.

Branded as a premium vodka label, Smoke Vodka is said to be at par with premium Russian vodka brands. Varun Jain, NV Group’s director, is the mastermind behind the label. Giving India its own premium vodka was his life-long dream and the idea took a decade to become a reality.

Smoke Vodka Classic

Not only is Smoke Vodka said to be at par with international premium brands with its rich and smooth texture, it is also charcoal-filtered and distilled five times to create a one-of-a-kind liquor. And it’s certainly not a surprise that the vodka has been priced high, making it the most expensive vodka to be made in India.

Smoke Vodka is being branded as a “hyper-modern” and “progressive Indian brand”, and the design of the bottle conveys the same. NV Group collaborated with Brewhouse to present a minimalist and chic label look, which looks highly appealing to the millennial in me who gives importance to packaging as well when buying liquor.

Along with the Smoke Vodka Classic, NV Group has also launched the Smoke Vodka Aniseed. While the Classic can be enjoyed neat and as a base in classic cocktails, the Aniseed will be a better fit for complex and flavourful cocktails.

The brand is currently available only in the homecity of NV Group – Delhi. We can’t wait for it to make its way to Mumbai so we can have a taste of this exciting new venture. After all, it’s time for India to have a native vodka brand shine in the world and we’re hoping Smoke does that for us.
