Sometimes the best bar recommendations come from the internet's most random corners. While scrolling through Reddit, we came across a discussion debating whether The Hidden Place in Koregaon Park was still operational. Curiosity got the better of us, and after spending days bar-hopping across some of Pune's fanciest cocktail bars, we decided to check it out for ourselves.
The result? We left wondering why we hadn't visited sooner. The Hidden Place has been around for 19 years, and unlike many newer venues chasing trends, it feels completely comfortable being exactly what it is. The space is neither too small nor too large, creating the perfect balance between lively and comfortable. Classic rock music fills the room, while the walls are covered with tributes to legends like Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison, giving the bar a personality that feels increasingly rare.

Hidden Place - The Hangout is one of Koregaon Park's longest-running bars, serving Pune's nightlife crowd for nearly two decades. While the city has seen countless trendy bars come and go, Hidden Place has built a loyal following through its authentic rock-and-roll atmosphere, generous drinks, comfort food, and laid-back pub energy. The venue strikes a sweet spot between a neighborhood hangout and a proper night-out destination, making it popular with both regulars and first-time visitors.
If you're looking for a bar that feels less curated and more genuine, Hidden Place delivers exactly that. Between the rock memorabilia, strong cocktails, crowd-pleasing food, and nearly 20 years of history, it remains one of Pune's most enduring drinking spots.

The drinks immediately set the tone for the evening. The Beer Wali Margarita was a fun twist on a classic and surprisingly easy to drink. The real star, however, was the Long Beach Pine Berry Tea. It might genuinely be the tastiest Long Island Iced Tea we've ever had. Smooth, flavorful, dangerously drinkable, and strong enough to let you know it's there, this was the kind of cocktail you remember long after the night ends.
For food, we ordered the Buffalo Wings and the Corn Tandoori Fry. The wings completely stole the show. Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor, they were easily some of the best Buffalo Wings we've ever had. The Corn Tandoori Fry was equally addictive and paired perfectly with the drinks.

Considering how much we enjoyed the food and drinks, we expected the damage to be much more serious. Instead, the final bill came to just INR 2,021. By the end of the meal, we were full, pleasantly buzzed, and honestly impressed by the value for money.
In a city filled with trendy cocktail bars and flashy nightlife concepts, The Hidden Place stands out because it feels authentic. Great drinks, incredible food, classic rock energy, and a space that feels lived in rather than designed for social media. Sometimes that's exactly what a great bar should be.

Between the unforgettable Long Beach Pine Berry Tea, some of the best Buffalo Wings we've ever eaten, and a bill that felt almost too reasonable, this 19-year-old bar delivered everything we want from a night out. If you're tired of polished cocktail lounges and want a bar with genuine character, good food, strong drinks, and an atmosphere that feels effortlessly cool, The Hidden Place deserves a spot on your Pune drinking list.
