Are you a die-hard fan of red wine? If so, you might already know about Petrus 2000, one of the costliest wines not just in India but in the world (probably even in space). Why is it at a whopping cost of INR 5,57,940? Well, it’s been in space for 15 months for maturation under special conditions.

This may sound strange to you, but it’s true, and you can now drink a glass of red wine from space, thanks to a firm called Orbit Cargo Unlimited. Petrus 2000 was one of 12 bottles sent into space by researchers in November 2019. Jane Anson, a Columnist for Decanter, was invited to taste Petrus’s celestial wine, which she found to be more floral and smokier as it matured.

2. Rampur Signature Reserve

Rampur’s Signature Reserve Single Malt is a true gift of time to the connoisseurs of taste and luxury. It’s peacefully aged for 75 years, first in American Standard Oak Barrels and then in Pedro Ximenez sherry cask from Spain for maturation. The entire process takes place at the foothills of the Himalayas where it goes through changing times and weather.

This whisky has a rich dark amber color with a reddish mahogany hue. At the start, you’ll get the aromas of PX sherry, vanilla, and sweet toffee. Yet, slowly it’ll also give away spicey and oaky notes of cinnamon, dark dried fruits, Indian forest honey, and nutty tropical fruits.

The flavors are immensely rich & creamy with extra layers of sultanas, toffees, Christmas pudding, and burnt cinnamon. You’ll be left with a prolonged and satisfying finish with the flavors of dried fruits and oaky spiciness.
