Mumbai is the party capital of India. There’s something about this city that tries its best to not make you want to sleep. And when you’re in a mood to party, there are some amazing options spread across the city and its suburbs. Here we bring you 4 great places where you can seriously have a great time drinking and dancing by setting floor on fire, right till the wee hours…
BKC Social (Bandra East) – No surprises here, because this is a great place to just dance your ass off. It’s a great meal wrapped in a bow, and its booze is so cheap (Rs 100 for a beer pint) that you can drink till 1 am and dance to some excellent trending music (never thought we’d enjoy the Chainsmokers so much).This place has it all, a great dingy dub pirate vibe and some amazing food. How does a tall glass of red rum with bacon infused sushi roll sound? What’s more, they have the best DJs play here. The office crowd here is always polite and friendly – you can quickly dance with strangers and not feel weird about it in any way.
Escobar (Bandra West) – This is one of the few places in Mumbai that allows you party till 1:30 am. Believe us when we tell you this, but there were 400 people at this rooftop place when we visited, and we enjoyed our asses off thoroughly. They were playing retro and had some really expensive drinks, but god damn was their dance floor lit up! Everyone showed up – actors, celebs, models, everyone; and we had a blast looking at their giant projector dancing to Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Ek Pal Ka Jeena’. It was legendary. People who don’t dance at all danced here like it was their last day on earth – it was amazing!
Monkey Bar (Bandra West) – Another Bandra place packing in a punch, Monkey Bar ensures that its party vibe intensifies progressively, till it hits its peak at around 12.30 am. The last half an hour at this place is a trip that you just need to experience. It’s loud and proud, and we’ve had a great time here whenever we dropped by. Great music and great food – simple! You will easily shell out 2000 bucks for two here, but it’s one of those places that’s truly meant for people to connect.
Wink (Cuffe Parade) – This place is at Vivanta by Taj at Cuffe Parade, and for a club that’s nicely tucked inside a 5-star hotel, it’s pretty cheap to get into to be honest. Sometimes if you’re lucky and you show up after midnight, they may just let you in for INR 500. The music’s loud and pumping, and you can pretty much sneak into any private area and sit on their couches if you get too tired. Don’t order much here as the food and drinks are super expensive (Rs 4500 for two). They’ve got trippy lights (Shiro-esque) and a great dark look to the whole experience. You can barely see who you’re dancing with, which sometimes works in your favour, while sometimes it doesn’t. We’d always imagine this place to be open post 1 am at least, if not till 2 am. Unfortunately, the party ends here at 1. But it’s different from all the other places in this list, and come on – it’s TAJ! Who wouldn’t wanna check it out?
