There’s very little a bartender can’t do, from serving up your favorite drinks to being your confidante in your time of need. Over the years, there have been several portrayals of bartenders on the screen, but none have captured our hearts as much as these:
The gang, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia
The entire main Sunny cast has been known to get behind the bar counter every once in a while if they’re not busy doing outrageous things. They’re not very good at what they do, they bicker and can be downright rude but it’s never a dull day when they’re in the bar. Our personal favorite though, is Sweet Dee.
Nick Miller, New Girl
Is there any bartender you’d want over the adorable and awkward Nick from New Girl? He’s sweet, he can be a great friend and most of all he’s goddamn attractive. Also, he drinks…a lot, so you know you’re only getting the very best or at least his hand-me-downs. We really don’t mind.
Tara, True Blood
No-nonsense and a downright badass, Tara was the bartender everyone wants on their side. Merlotte’s was lucky to have her around while all hell broke loose around town on the regular. Considering the shit that went down around her on the regular, her zero no-fucks, zero chill policy is exactly what we need around us too.
Donna, The Office
Do you remember the cool bartender who somehow managed to fall for Michael Scott despite him being just downright strange at her workplace? Yes, the same Donna who was cheating on her husband with our favourite boss. Well, we’re on the fence about loving her or hating her outside of the bar but she was damn good at keeping her customers happy and didn’t leave them without a good piece of advice.
Moe, The Simpsons
Yes, I know, I know, I’m always mentioning Moe in some way or the other but can you blame me? He’s iconic! Although he was known to be grumpy and incompetent, he still managed to have regulars (maybe because of the lack of other options) and even helped out our favourite animated family in their time of need.
